Diseases are not limited to adults now. Even small children are getting diabetic in this hustle and bustle of life. It has been proved that diabetes affects all age groups and children are not left behind from its touch. Because of the wrong eating habits and wrong lifestyle, diabetes in children is increasing at a very high pace. That is why the whole matter needs a lot of concern to look after the whole thing with extreme care.
It is not necessary that one should always link the diabetic condition in children with their obesity or weight factor. In fact a lot of cases have been seen where the disease appears in a sudden manner, specially in the case of children below the age of fifteen years.
So in this case, it becomes vital that an early diagnosis should be conducted and the treatment should be done in accordance to that only. The main aim to conduct an early treatment is to get normal physical, mental and emotional growth of every person who suffers from diabetes, including children.
The starting stage of diabetes in children is generally referred to as acute or sub-acute.
Symptoms Of Diabetes In Children:

Symptoms Of Diabetes In Children:
- Passage of excess urine. The child tends to pass excess amount of urine, specially at night that can lead to bed-wetting and thirst. At night, the child can have the tendency to ask for water again and again. If the child does so, then make your mind clear that these are the initial symptoms of being diabetic.
- The overall development if a child can be at a slower level as compared to other children. He shows a lack of interest in most of the activities and may show a lazy attitude in front of everyone, even if he is forced to do so. So one should never apply force.
- Abdominal pain, vomiting, dehydration are some of the most common symptoms. If these symptoms occur at a regular level, then take him to doctor immediately.
- The diabetic child loses weight and the skin starts turning pale. He may even get dark circles under the eyes.
- May face respiratory diseases and allergies.
- Breath is sweet smelling. Skin will get dry.
- The child feels drowsy and tired every time.
