Why Exit Interviews are Important

While looking over past interview feedback, you might observe some trends indicating a deeper problem or highlighting new opportunities within the company or team? For example:
  1. What is the average time period at which people working in the company leave their job?
  2. What are the most prominent 3 reasons, employees leaving the company give?
  3. What are the top three positions in the company that have highest turnover?
  4. Is there any specific turnover issue within certain departments or teams?
  5. What changes can be implemented internally within the organization that will increase job satisfaction amongst employees with high potentials?
  6. What are you individually doing that will prevent any other resignations in your team?
Always remember that, if exit interviews are handled respectfully, they can provide wealth of information for keeping your company grow and refine its success. Your past employee will also feel like providing honest feedback and will have a positive image about the company.
