Acid Reflux
Acid reflux is nothing but a kind of defensive mechanism of the stomach which characterizes for an abnormal acid output. As far as the scientific approach is concerned, a lot of reasons are responsible for this mechanism, but the main reason for this is the overwhelming amount–or constant management–of food by the stomach. The other reasons that are responsible for this condition are: eating several meals a day, or snacking; drinking liquids with foods; overeating; eating a lot of trench fries, late supper; over-cooked foods; low quality fats; etc.
So it is recommended that you must correct the issues mentioned above, and at the same time please give at least some break to your stomach by fasting for 1-2 days on papaya and/or apples, or you can just have a fruit diet as well. Here are some of the remedies that you can implement in your daily use:
Mix 1 teaspoon of each of these herbs (freshly cut) and put them to boil for 5 minutes, and let it seat for a while:
The herds that can be used are:
Oregano
Basil
Peppermint
Fig's leaves
If you think that you have a little tendency to bias for sweet things then it is recommended that in order to sweeten it you can add a little honey or Agave Nectar. And add 20-25 drops of Licorice root extract to this tea. Drink 2-3 cups a day.
While doing all these things, please don't any kind of fried food at all. Stay away from potato. Milk and cheese should be avoided if you want a permanent fix.
Here is a brief list of what kind of food items you should avoid:
Milk, cheese, eggs, soda, refined foods (white bread, white sugar, white flour, etc.), vinegar, coffee, chocolate, sardines, very starchy foods, red beans (too high in nitrogen content), ice cream, onion, pickles, roasted nuts or seeds, and black/red pepper.
And you must implement the following food items in your diet:
Apple, papaya, pears, sweet grapes (no the green one), figs (no dried), asparagus, sweet tomatoes, mango, cabbage (excellent to regenerate the stomach's linen), steamed broccoli, garlic, ginger, raw nuts (specially almonds), artichoke, brown rice, olive oil (extra virgin and first cold press), and carrot.
