I love to eat a lot of nutty things! That is why nuts and seeds form an integral part of my diet! Nuts and seeds are rammed full of dietary essentials and at the same it is extremely easy to implement their use in our diet. But at the same time, let me tell you that they can be hard to digest so mill them in the blender or grind them up in your single auger juicer.
Nutty butters: some juicers work in the best possible way as far as making nut butters is concerned. And that is why it is often said that the single auger machines are the best for this.
These kind of machines are perfect as they double up as pestle. At the same time if we will have a look at those mortar style homogenizing machines, then the reality is that it allows you to make pastes, nut butters, baby foods and other goodies.
Nutty hint: the fact is that we must always purchase non salted nuts, because our normal diet is filled with salt, so we don't need extra salt from here and there, and that is why you don't need to add any salt in the form of salty nuts, that's for sure!
As far as making smoothies is concerned, let me tell you that nuts and seeds are best for smoothies, and we all love smoothies. Don't we! And that is why it is recommended that mill into dust in a decent blender. Mill them up before you put the fruit and vegetable ingredients in so that you can digest them in the best way possible. Let me tell you that if you will indulge in this process, then it is a perfect way of introducing vegetable protein to your diet as well as essential fatty acids. I would recommend: Hemp or Flax seed.
But at the same I would like to give you one warning as well. When you make a smoothie for someone, at the same time you must conform of the fact that the person does not have a nut allergy!
Okay enough of seeds, now let me talk something about seeds as well. Seeds again are natural powerhouses of nutrition and that is why I highly recommend that you should implement the use of seeds in your diet as well.
Let me give you the example of some seeds: linseeds, pumpkin seeds, hemp, sesame seeds and pine nuts. They are my personal favorites!
