F1 car racing is often used to refer to the Formula 1 car racing circuit. People often mistake it with Indy car racing, since the cars used in both look similar! But, the fact is that they both are two different sports, having different rules and regulations. Formula 1 is considered as the highest class sport in open-wheel racing by the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile, or FIA, which is the governing body of all types of car racing sports internationally.

The Formula One circuit is made up of street car racing, which is usually referred to as the Grand Prix. A salient characteristic of the Formula 1 racing circuit is that there are two championships at the end of the circuit- one for the automobile constructors and one for the drivers. Such a race is held on a specially built car race track or on a roadway. However, the road races in F1 are the most popular. The Monaco Grand Prix is an example of one of the most popular Formula 1 road races!

The vehicles used in Formula 1 car racing are modified for optimal performance. The speed of these cars can reach up to 360 mph. and on corners, at high speeds g-force is experienced. The constructors of the cars are members of the car racing team and they are required to follow a certain set of rules when putting the cars together. They are allowed to modify the aerodynamics, electronics, tires, and suspension of the cars in order to improve their performance on the track. The Formula 1 car racing vehicles are designed with a single seat, unlike the stock cars. There are ten teams and twenty drivers who compete in the circuit each year.
