The good news is that it is not too late to get diagnosed. Here are some of the common signs and symptoms to know if you are dyslexic:

- Difficulty recognizing the orientation of similar letters and numbers – If you find difficulty in recognizing the reversal of similar numbers and letters, then you may be suffering from dyslexia. Some of the common letter that may appear confusing are "b" as "d", "dog" as "bog" and numbers like "6" as "9".
- Reading and comprehension – Usually, people suffering from dyslexia find difficulty in reading and comprehension. If you're a slow and inaccurate reader then chances are that you might be suffering from dyslexia. Generally, dyslexic adults hide their reading problems.
- Terrible with spelling – Are you afraid to write letters and compose memos because you have difficulty with spelling. Then you may be suffering from dyslexia.
- Difficulty dealing with things in sequence – Do you find difficulty in following sequential instructions or multi-step directions. Do you find difficulty counting numbers onwards or backwards or you find remembering days of the week a struggle? Then you might be suffering from dyslexia.
