In terms of the USA, Christianity has its great impact on the nation since the time of the first settlers stepped on the Plymouth Rock. And ever since the nation has upheld the Christian values, at some point of time they had become mandatory in schools and they had been taught in almost every educational institution. But, today, although they are mandatory, still they exist as optional subject of educational curriculum. The summary is that Christian education has always been the option for the US citizens and they are always interested in explaining the importance of Christian education and the role it plays in the society.

Apart from the United States, Christianity has always played a great role in human education in Europe as well. Catholic were the first to taught the high moral standards of Christianity and compliance with the God's rules in Europe. However, after the reformation of Protestant, the role of Catholicism was reduced to a great extent. According to history, the first settlers who arrived the USA, the religion that they used to teach in schools was actually Protestantism. While, this is true that Christianity has educated people in schools, but at the same time placed some limits on the human development. While Catholic and Orthodox churches were inspired much by God’s dominance and written scrutiny. The churches thus were against various sciences that are anti-religious, such as genetic engineering, nuclear sciences, etc. But, protestant churches believed in good deeds and helpful behaviour to be of the ultimate importance to God. They believed that God has created all the sciences possible and it's the duty of human beings to study as much as possible along with proclaiming God and expressing God in all human achievements.

Christianity has a deep impact on the behaviour of students. It's seen that students who are taught Christianity or Christian values at school are less inclined to illegal activities, like underage drinking, promiscuous sex and carrying arms as compared to those who have not been studied Christianity. According survey, the total number of students in the US schools engage in the illegal activities, comprise only a 12 percent of students studying Christianity or are engaged in Christian schools.

Well, survey apart, I personally feel that Christian education has great importance to the whole world. In terms of poor schools or bad neighborhoods, where we can see higher rates of crime, there young children are tend to be violent under the influence of such environment. Under such circumstances, education definitely could make a difference and could shape up the early years of human life. Similarly, Christianity that discourages arms, sex before marriage, drinking etc. could also help them cultivate some morals in them. Christian morals seem to be very helpful in developing personal attitude in children, allowing them to resist the peer pressure, and engage in profound studying with strong desire for excellence!
