If you don't have a hobby to pursue then I'm sure your reason may be one of the following:
- No time.
- Not enough money to maintain one.
- People make fun of my hobby.
- Don't know what hobby to pursue.
- Thinks hobby as a waste of time and energy.
- Too busy to follow it.
- I'm too old to have a hobby.
Though, these reasons may be true to some extent but not 100% true. It is all based on the point of a person. It is as simple as describing a half glass of water as half full and the other, half empty. Similarly, there are many ways to pursue a hobby and maintain them as well. Here are some of the common reasons why you should have a hobby:
- They are a good past time, to get away from the boring life that most of us live through.
- They have a therapeutic effect as it helps in reducing stress.
- They are known to be a good mental exercise as it keeps the mind active.
- There are many instances where people have turn their hobbies into very successful profession or business.
- These are some of the ways to maintain a hobby:
- Love you hobby to the core. Never think you'll get bored of it after some point.
- Be in a position to afford a hobby as some hobbies are too expensive. It is always better to start with zero investment, so know your budget beforehand.
- Invest enough time to pursue them for a long time. There are some hobbies that seem almost like a full time job, but there are some hobbies that take only a few hours every month.
- Make sure to give enough physical energy to maintain your favorite hobby. Don't let this deter you; ensure that you give some time to it, however less it may seem.
